This is a nested prospective longitudinal cohort study of 35 HIV-infected and 35 HIV-noninfected pregnant women who are part of the parent study “Impact of Immune Changes of HIV and Stages of Pregnancy on Tuberculosis." The objectives are to:



  1. Determine the association of gestational age with microbiome diversity among pregnant women

  2. Determine the association of dietary patterns with microbiome diversity and stability over time

  3. Compare the microbiome stability between HIV-infected and uninfected pregnant women
