Research

From genomics to policy research, our research partnerships advance evidence-based care solutions that improve health outcomes for patients living with infectious diseases.

Our researchers are among the top experts in the field, with many serving in leadership positions for international clinical trial networks and global infectious disease research consortia.

HIV

Our work on HIV is rooted in more than 3 decades of research and patient care. We conduct research on the most effective strategies to prevent, treat, and manage HIV infection in pregnant women, infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

Tuberculosis

We’re committed to eliminating TB in India through our large portfolio of comprehensive research that spans bench to bedside and seeks to prevent community transmission.

Antimicrobial Resistance

The growing burden of antimicrobial resistance is rendering medications ineffective against many diseases. Our research on resistance, clinical care and prescribing practices, and policy addresses strategies to stem the dangerous tide of drug resistance.

Gender & Sexuality

Our research approaches for gender and sexuality offer strategies and services that ensure access to high quality healthcare and that wrap-around services address the needs of LGBTQIA patients in India.

Maternal & Child Health

Pregnancy, post partum, and infancy are unique physiological stages of life that are understudied. Infectious diseases medication dosing is based on data from the general population and effects are not well understood. Our research aims to provide critically needed data for safe and effective treatment of infectious diseases in these populations.

Mental & Behavioral Health

Living with an infectious disease can cause depression and anxiety, and lead to coping behaviors that are harmful. That’s why we develop and evaluate approaches that address the mental health needs of people living with infectious diseases, and that help infectious disease patients make healthy choices that improve their lives.
