Abhishek Kumar Sinha

Abhishek Kumar Sinha is Finance & Operations Manager at the Johns Hopkins Center for Infectious Diseases in India. He is a member of the team in New Delhi, India, and has worked with the Johns Hopkins-India infectious diseases partnership for 2+ years. 

At CIDI, Abhishek is responsible for the overall grant management for the ACCELERATE and Elton John AIDS Foundation projects in India. He is responsible for partner management, budgets, reporting, and audits. 

Past Positions  

Prior to joining CIDI, he worked with Institute for Transportation & Development Policy (ITDP), EPoD at Harvard Kennedy School, John Snow Inc, International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), CARE and UN Organizations. He is an accomplished professional with over 22 plus years of combined experience working in the development sector managing the operations & finances for grants valuing USD 2-20 million. He has successfully led the development & implementation of financial, human resources, procurement, IT systems & policies, and grant management systems. He has led successfully led multiple government and donor audits. He also as a good amount of exposure in managing large conferences in India and overseas. 

On a lighter note, he is sort of an easy go-to person who can work independently as well as part of the team, in a multicultural environment, under pressurized situations producing results. He loves travelling and also spending time with his cat.
