Confronting Gender Based Violence 2016 Course

2016-06-16—The Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education (CCGHE) is pleased to launch the free online course Confronting Gender-based Violence: Global Lessons for Healthcare Workers.



Registration is now open for the course, which is being offered through Coursera. It is scheduled to run from July 11 through August 7, and then an additional three times in the coming year. This is the second course on gender-based violence (GBV); the 2015 offering provided a core curriculum focusing on care for GBV survivors specifically in India. The new course is more globally focused.



 




 



The course offers a core curriculum for assessing, treating, and managing patients who are survivors of gender based violence, and an optional honors curriculum that provides more in-depth coursework on the core content, that covers treatment challenges associated with special populations, and that outlines prevention policies.
