Global Grand Rounds in ID (2022-9-23)

A 28 year married female, resident of Karad, Maharashtra underwent caesarean section (LSCS) at 8:30am and presented in the immediate postoperative period with complaints of:

• Sudden onset
• Cough which was associated with pink frothy sputum

Patient was apparently asymptomatic prior to the operative procedure (LSCS), after which she had

• Breathlessness: sudden in onset, progressive in nature, aggravates on exertion, further progressed to breathlessness even at rest
• Associated with sputum, frothy pink in color, non foul smelling
