Maria Salvat Ballester, MPH

Current Position 

Maria is a Program Officer at the Johns Hopkins Center for Infectious Diseases in India. She is a member of the team in Baltimore, Maryland and has joined recently the Johns Hopkins-India infectious diseases partnership. She is responsible for managing programmatic and operational components of the ACCELERATE project, ensuring a smooth implementation of activities in the field, as well as providing technical support to the project. 

Past Positions 

Prior to joining CIDI, Maria worked for several years in Johnson & Johnson doing clinical research, particularly focused on vaccines and infectious diseases clinical trials. Also, she spent one year working as a research assistant and supporting international programs at IVAC and Jhpiego.     

Education 

Maria is a pharmacist by training. She received her MPH from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, concentrating on Infectious Diseases.
