Rechel Shrisunder, MPH

Rechel is a Behavioral Scientist at the Johns Hopkins Centre for Infectious Diseases in India (CIDI) at Pune. She is working on studies focusing on identifying and assessing the effectiveness of intervention strategies related to Tuberculosis, MDR-TB and Isoniazid Preventive Therapy Uptake at Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College Clinical Research Site (BJGMC-CRS) in Pune, India. 

She has also worked in the WHO project focused on Implementation research at KEMHRC. She has experience in working with qualitative as well as quantative research methods. Her areas of interest are in epidemiological and socio behavioral aspects of various communicable and non-communicable diseases.  

Rechel has been an ex-government official and has worked in clinical settings for over 5 years and is experienced in providing program management support in government settings in driving public health initiatives. She has also worked in various National health programs focusing on maternal and Child health, Communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases. 

She has completed her Maters in Public Health and is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health & Epidemiology.
