Objectives:



  1. To describe the patterns of health-care seeking behavior and prior outpatient care among patients admitted with acute febrile illness to Sassoon Hospital

  2. To determine the effects of outpatient behaviors and prior treatments on the antimicrobial resistance patterns of stool colonizing bacteria and blood-borne pathogens

  3. To identify risk-factors for improper antibiotic prescription and usage in the outpatient setting
