Adherence to Indian National Guidelines for Isoniazid Chemoprophylaxis among Pediatric Contacts of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Cases

The primary objective of the study was to assess the implementation of the Indian Revised National Tuberculosis Programme's (RNTCP) guidelines regarding isoniazid preventive treatment (IPT) for children under 6 years of age who had been in contact with adults diagnosed with sputum positive tuberculosis at the hospital. This study was conducted between December 2013 and May 2014 by investigators of the BJ Government Medical College/Sassoon General Hospitals, a tertiary care teaching hospital in Pune, India. Local IRB approval was obtained and a copy of the letter has been uploaded in the Study Location section. The India study investigators have asked the JHU faculty listed on this application to participate in analysis and manuscript preparation.
