This study is funded and conducted under the U.S. National Institutes of Health, Fogarty International Center. 



The overall goal is to understand the psychosocial involvement in health care workers with and without active tuberculosis.



The specific aims of this study are:



  • To understand the psychosocial impact of the development of active tuberculosis during training among health care workers.

  • To examine an association between the incident latent or active tuberculosis during training and quality of life measures among healthcare worker trainees.
